How to use the Hubspot Marketing integration

Easily sync your HubSpot marketing contacts with Upsales by following these simple steps:

How does it work?

When a contact is considered sales qualified in HubSpot Marketing (as defined by the Lifecycle Stage), it will automatically sync to Upsales and be added to the selected campaign. This enables seamless marketing flows and handover from your Hubspot marketing team, to the sales team in Upsales. 

 

1. Activate the HubSpot Integration

  1. Log in to your Upsales account.

  2. Navigate to App Library.

  3. Find HubSpot Marketing and click Activate.

  4. Authorize the integration by signing into your HubSpot account when prompted.

2. Configure the Integration

Once authorized, set up how contacts are transferred:

  • Select Lifecycle Stage – Choose which HubSpot Lifecycle Stage will trigger the contact sync to Upsales.

  • Enable init sync - Enable init to sync all contacts in the current lifecycle stage to Upsales.
  • Fallback Company – Set a default company for contacts that don’t have a matching company in Upsales.

  • Campaign Link – Assign a campaign in Upsales to track and manage incoming leads effectively.

3. Start syncing leads

Once setup is complete, your contacts will automatically sync based on your selected settings

That’s it! Your HubSpot sales qualified contacts are now connected to Upsales.

 

 

What information syncs?

  •  
    • Contact:
      • Name
      • Email
      • Phonenumber
    • Company:
      • Name 


Matching logic to prevent duplicates

Matching by Email:

  • If the email address exists in Upsales → update the existing contact.

  • If multiple contacts have the same email → choose the contact belonging to the company with the most contacts.

Matching by Domain:

  • If the email address is missing, match the contact's domain with an existing company in Upsales and create the contact there.

Company Creation:

  • If no matching email or company is found, create a new company using the contact’s Primary Company from HubSpot. Only the company name will be transferred from Hubspot to Upsales.

Fallback Company:

  • If no Primary Company is found, create the contact under a generic company in Upsales (e.g., "HubSpot Contacts Without a Linked Company"). You can configure this in the settings.
