How unsubscribe lists work
Instead of your contacts unsubscribing to all your email campaigns, unsubscribe lists lets your contacts select what type of email they want to receive from you. This is a good way of sustaining the interest of your recipients.
Contacts are by default subscribed to all your lists and can choose to unsubscribe from either one or all of your lists by clicking the unsubscribe link in your marketing emails.
You can have as many unsubscribe lists as you want, but a good practice is to have fewer lists. These are some examples of common lists:
- Newsletter
- Product updates
- Event invitations and info
- Incidents or scheduled maintenance
It could be confusing to your contacts when they visit your Unsubscribe page if you have lists with similar names. For example, don't add both "Newsletter" and "Newsletter 2".
