Create automated steps for contacts in your segments depending on their behaviour. Segments add and remove contacts dynamically depending on their information. Flows are tightly integrated with Segments and let's you define steps for all contacts that are currently in your segment.
Flows are great for lead nurturing as well as customizing content for your existing customers:
Lead nurture flows
Define a range of informational emails. If the contacts seem more interested in one set of content. Determine this by checking if the contact has clicked specific links. If they clicked the link about your latest product relase, send them another email about the release.
Set your segment to start with all contacts that's visited a specific page, this could be a campaign-page or a specific product on your website.
Now knowing that all contacts in your segment are interested in this topic Start a flow with email campaigns concerning this topic. If the contact clicks a link in your email you can send more detailed information about the same topic to these users.
The different steps of Flows
Flows are built with steps and these can be categorized into three categories:
Actions are thing's that Upsales performs, like sending emails or updating contact/company information for the contacts that reach the step.
This is interactions your contacts do from your actions like opening emails, clicking links in emails or filling out forms. Behaviours split your flow in two paths. For example, adding an Action with 'Opened email' therefore creates two paths; Yes and No.
Determine how long your flow should wait before determining the outcome of an action. For example, let's say you send an email and want to give your contacts 5 days until you determine if they clicked a link or not, use a snooze and set it to 5 days.
The sum of "Contacts here right now" and "Contacts passed this step" may exceed the total number of contacts in the segments. The reason for this is that the snooze statistics is calculated from all the contacts that ever passed the step which some of may now have left the segment.
When your Flow is set to active you can click each step of your flow to get detailed information about how contacts have acted and how many that's passed this step.
