Exclude filter - how to work with them
We recommend changing from match "all" criteria to "any" when you want to exclude contacts that match any of the following criteria. i.e. Exclude contacts with sales or opportunity or has an open activity.
How to add all contacts with an email address?
1. Choose field "Email" and insert value "@" to get all contacts with an email address.
2. Choose field "Has email" and choose value "Yes"
What happens when you make a segment inactive?
All inactive segments are hidden in the default segment view. You can change the filter to find them.
If you have a flow active, no emails will be sent from the flow if the segment is inactive.
How do I include all form conversion without choosing a form?
Choose field "Form conversion" on contacts, don't choose a specific form to include all forms and then choose the period you want to include.
How do I include/exclude assigned leads?
Assigned leads are the same as a user that has an open activity connected to the company.
Choose field "Activity & meetings" and filter to only find activities that are open to find assigned leads.
What happens with campaigns?
Campaigns will continue to be part of the Upsales offer but will be moved to CRM. You can still send out email campaigns via campaigns if you want. Go to mail campaign, choose filter contacts and filter on your campaign.
No matches found
If you have created a field that doesn't have a value yet you will get "No matched found".
To fix this add values to your company custom fields that don't have any values yet before you create your segment.
Standard fields like opt-in, categories etc also need data before you create a segment.
Why does my segment have the old design?
Customers that tested segment (soft-deploy) before the new design will have the old design on segments created before 2018-04-11. All new segments will have the new design.
You need to create a new segment with the same filters and then remove the old segment to migrate old segments.
