An order or agreement is usually placed when a company buys something from you. In Upsales there are two types of orders; The regular order which is sent once to the customer and Agreement which uses a subscription type model meaning that the order will be sent multiple times to your customer at the interval you select.
Here are a few things worth knowing about agreements:
Order frequency and period length
When creating or editing your agreement there are two fields that determine how often a new order should be created and during what time period. Let's say you set the period length to 12 months, and you'd like to create an order third month, with these settings four orders will be created during these twelve months.
Initial start date
This field doesn't affect the order, it's used for displaying an order for when the agreement/order was signed by the customer.
Start date current period
This field determines when the first order will be created for the agreement.
This is when the next set of orders will be created by the agreement. The field is by default populated by the information in 'start date current period' plus the 'period length' you've entered. You can change this date, and thereby add additional days/months to the order period.
This is the date when no more orders will be created by the agreement. It's by default set ´to 'Never'
Create orders prematurely
Use this field if you'd like to create the order ahead of time.
