Turn your Olark chats into Upsales leads
Make your business human with the world’s simplest live chat software. Create your account over at olark.com, and then activate the Olark app in Upsales and we'll create a marketing event in Upsales for any new chat.
Marketing events and lead score
Every new chat gets its own marketing event in Upsales, just like a web visit or form submit. The default score is 10 but you can change this in the app config.
Get notified on new chats
Choose which users to receive an in-app notification for every new chat. By default, we'll send to the account manager.
Important! Chats with no email address get ignored, so remember to require an email address when initiating a new chat. We're using this email address to try and match with any existing contact.
Follow the instructions
Once this app is activated, you'll need to create a webhook in your Olark account. You'll find these settings in the "Status and Troubleshoot" tab on the app page in Upsales (requires the app to be active to view).
Creating a webhook
We'll need to add a webhook in your Olark account to fetch any chat messages you'll receive.
Go to your Olark account > Integrations > Webhook
Navigate to the "Status and Troubleshoot"-tab on the app page in Upsales and copy the URL under Step 2.
Check the following options to your webhook
☑️ Send all transcripts automatically
☑️ Send offline messages
☑️ Send all events
Make sure your users have to enter an email address when chatting or the chats won't be sent to Upsales.
Time to test it!
Click Send test (in Olark) to check that everything works. A chat marketing event will be created in Upsales shortly after!
