When using Account-Based Marketing (Your ads are only shown to the companies you select) Upsales matches the IP-addresses of the companies in your target list with the visitor entering a website you've selected to show your ads on. If it's a match, your ad is shown for that visitor.
But, due to stricter handling of IP-addresses, the last digits are sometimes hidden meaning the IP-address is incomplete. This basically means Upsales doesn't know exactly who the visitor is, but they are probably in the same office or using the same wi-fi.
Full IP-address example: 192.168.0.1
Partially masked IP-address example: 192.168.X.X
How masked partially identified impressions are shown in Upsales
If you've enabled the range-option for your campaign and your campaign has shown ads for masked IP-numbers these will be shown as partially identified impressions inside the company list of your advertising campaign.
How to enable IP-range for your advertising campaign
- Head into your advertising campaign
- If it's already launched, click edit
- Scroll down to the Targets-section
- If you've selected companies by the Account-Based Marketing options, click it
- In the dialog that appears, enable Range
