If you don’t have access to a specific dashboard in Insights, most likely you have the wrong kind of permission. There are two types of users in Insights with different permissions.
Creating, Editing, and Exporting
Users with permission to create and/or edit dashboards are by default administrators. This option can, however, be given to any user. To do so, head to the settings panel, then select “Analytics” in the left-hand menu followed by “Upsales Insights.”
There are two permissions settings here: Dashboard Access and Explore Access.
Viewing
Dashboard Access
All your public/global* dashboards are found in this list and can be limited in terms of who gets to view them. By default, only administrators will see all dashboards until other roles are given viewing privileges. Note that this setting is only applicable to roles and cannot be set to give individual users access.
* Global dashboards are those shared with the entire company, including the standard dashboards.
Users with this permission can;
- See specific dashboards and standard dashboards (Only if admins gave them permission to see the specific dashboard) you can configure this in settings
- Access data
- See reports
- See drills.
Creating & Editing
Explore Access
Explore access is the setting used to give individual users permission to create and edit reports and dashboards. This setting is given to administrators only by default. If a user cannot see the “Explore” button to the right of the “Dashboards” -tab, he or she simply does not have this setting. The same goes for a user who has access to a dashboard but cannot see the “Edit” -tab – this restricts such users from tampering with reports and dashboards.
Think of this setting as a “view-only” or an “edit permission.”
Users with this permission can;
- Explore all reports and create new.
- Save content and edit reports
- Schedule reports and dashboards to external emails.
- Create table calculations
- See all dashboards except dashboards on personal space
- See all standard dashboards
- Access all data in drills and download it.
- See all reports
- Download data with limit for excel and pdf
Exporting, Downloading, & Sharing
Dashboards and reports can be exported in several different formats as well as shared via email. These settings are set by administrators in the settings panel under Users & Roles. Exporting privileges are universal throughout Upsales, ranging from CRM to Analytics.
Insights Permission Settings
If you have Admin permission in Upsales you can configure different settings for Insights permissions. Go to Settings -> In the menu to the left – go to Analytics -> Upsales Insights.
Here you can see all dashboards and configure access for all roles in Upsales. For example, if you only want KAM (Key Account Managers) to see ARR Dashboard – just select the role in the Dropdown box to the right as the example below.
Here you can choose the specific user that should have the same access as Admins have. See article 1 for permission details. These users can create and change explores and dashboards and should, therefore, be limited to specific users with caution.
