Sharing your event is a huge part of inviting people, analyzing what channels has had the most impact on sign-up's is a good way to improve your future events.
That's why we've made a list of pre-tracked links inside of your launched event. Once your event is done the statistics for these links are available on your event dashboard. If you want all channels included in your post event statistics a rule of thumb is perhaps "never share an untracked link".
Yes, there's a way to create custom tracked links, read more below.
Where to find the tracked links
The links are visible in the sidebar of your event once it's launched. We offer tracked links for the most popular social media platforms like Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
How tracked event links work
The reason for using these is analyzing which channels had the most impact on your sign-up's. The links use UTM-tags which specify that the link belongs to your event, and what platform it's shared on.
An example of a tracked link:
- The first part ?utm_campaign=events" tells Upsales that the link belongs to an event.
- The last part &utm_source=Reddit tells Upsales where the link is supposed to be posted.
Creating your own tracked links
Yes, even is Upsales doesn't show the websites you want to share your event on you can still create tracked links for them. Using the example above, let's say we want to post on reddit.com:
In your post event statistics, all sign-up's with this link will show up as having the source "Reddit".
