How to use Revenue Recognition
Revenue Recognition could, for instance, be useful for consultancy agencies with accruing income over 12 months or another period.
Let’s say you have 100,000 SEK that you’ve put on one consultant, but you would like to see how much revenue you’re getting per month.
Imagine you have 0 SEK in June but 50 SEK each during July and August. That’s when Revenue Recognition is beneficial. Distribute the income to what fits your business economy.
Keep track of your KPIs
After creating an opportunity or order it can be accrued.
Automatically split the income between two dates monthly. Or manually set up the exact amounts at the time you want.
Each accrued order is only counted as one accrual, no matter the time span or amount. If an opportunity is lost and set as 0% probability the order will no longer be counted for as accrued.
When an opportunity or order has been accrued in the system it is counted as one accrual.
If the order is accrued for multiple years it's only counted as one accrual and at the year it was created.
