Gain full insight across all company profiles with Brands
Brands is a function or an add-on, as we call it at Upsales, which allows you to get a birds-eye view of your entire company and filter through the central company umbrella. Say goodbye to headaches, and hello to smooth functions.
Imagine having several sub-companies, departments, or profiles, where each has its team of salespeople and MRR, QRR, and ARR financial targets. Upsales has summed all the mentioned under one term, Brands. Having more than one brand creates all kinds of issues when it comes to Marketing Automation (MA), and the only solution, up until now, has been to buy several MA-platforms with complex integrations that never work.
Upsales Brands allows you to: Use one CRM and MA-platform across all of your company’s profile. Our function enables your company to reach your brand-specific target audiences without mixing lead scores, conversions, or GDPR-data.
Which companies this is a perfect solution for
Does your company have subsidiaries, or are they a part of a bigger group? Keep reading.
Upsales created Brands because our customers felt they needed a smoother way to keep track of all of their profiles. Imagine you are Company X.
You keep growing and decide to start Company X Group. Later you create Company X Recruitment, so on and so forth. Before Brands, all three companies had different platforms, making it unclear to follow up on numbers and confusing to differentiate email from the sender, not to mention, difficult to track leads.
With our solution, you can use one CRM and MA-platform in total and switch between companies (Brands) as if switching between users.
Do like Upsales client Wise Group for example, who uses Brands to filter through their seven profiles to save time and resources that could be used elsewhere.
Optimize your website for optimal organizing and ultimate control
To get a bit more technical, your brands share one Upsales account. Each brand has separate lead management such as different company profiles, emails, forms & landing pages, targeted advertising, and website tracking. All of these, while still having the benefit of shared sales data.
Set up Brands in your account.
Contact Upsales to enable the feature for your account before proceeding with the next steps. Once activated:
- Head into Settings (click the cog icon in the top right corner of Upsales)
- In the left side menu, scroll down to the Marketing section and click to open
- Click the Brands-section
- Add a new brand and set which user roles that should have access to that brand.
Switch between Brands. When this feature is active for your Upsales account, a toggle in the top right corner of the Upsales menu will appear. Click and select a Brand, and Upsales simply switches the data, no log out/login required. We promised you easy solutions.
Features & data separated per Brand.
The below features can be configured individually for each Brand.
Marketing score. If a contact fills out a form in Brand A and that form is set to generate 10p for a form submitted, that score will not be shown in Brand B. The same contact might have different scores depending on which Brand you are viewing. The same goes for email campaigns, advertising, website visits, and landing pages. The default scores for opening emails, filling out forms, and visiting websites are shared between Brands, but these can be corrected inside every marketing entity you create.
Company profile. Make each Brand stand out. With our profile editor, you can design individual company profiles for each Brand with logos, colors, and more. Read more about how to set up your Company profile.
Opt-in & terms. Terms are used for Upsales Forms, which enable you to track contacts that have accepted your terms. Opt-ins work as checkboxes in your Upsales forms. When a contact checks the checkbox and fills out the form, they are considered as opted into that specific opt-in. This is a good way of ensuring that your email campaign recipients want to receive your marketing content and don't report it as spam. See this article for how to set up your Opt-in terms.
Email campaigns and Email template. These are created and sent in one Brand will not be visible inside the other Brands. An email campaign is a way to market your company and its services to multiple recipients at once. Email templates are also available for each Brand. Check this video on templates to understand further.
Leads list. Companies and contacts are sorted by score in this list, and since that’s individually tracked in each Brands, your leads list will show different companies and communication with different scoring. About the lead list.
Segments & flows. Separate your contacts into different segments depending on their behavior and data. Build pre-defined flows, like email drips and other automated actions. This is set individually per Brand.
Advertising. Each Brand can launch individual advertising campaigns as well as banners. Read more about Advertising here.
Events. Each Brand can launch individual company Events.
User notification and reminders. This is a user-based setting that lets you determine what Upsales should notify and remind you of. With Brands active, you can adjust these settings per Brand. Want notifications for an individual page for a specific Brand, no problem. You can set up your notifications in the Notifications Center.
Features & data shared between Brands:
Features not affected by Brands should be handled by user role permissions, which are better suited for those cases.
Companies and contacts. Your companies and contacts are shared amongst your Brands, although their marketing score, form submits, email campaigns, and website visits, are separated by Brand.
Journey status. This status applied to companies and contacts indicating where in the sales process they currently are. This status is shared between Brands.
An extract of the features and data shared amongst your Brands:
-
Default email-sender profile
-
Custom domains for landing pages
-

-

Website visits. Each brand can track their website visitors separately, meaning the visits logged to one Brand will only be visible when viewing that specific Brand. Companies you don't want to receive any marketing score from can be placed on this Blacklisted Company List, and the list is individual to each Brand.
How do I start tracking? Start by adding different website tracking scripts to your pages for the Brand you wish to log the visits. When the Brands feature is active, a unique tracking script is generated inside the Settings of Upsales for each brand. It looks like this:
Where to find your visit tracking scripts:
-
Enter Settings inside Upsales
-
In the left sidebar, click the Marketing section.
-
Click the Website visits section.
-
Copy script
-
Copy onto the pages you'd like to track for that Brand.
