Lead already in your Upsales
There are leads hiding in your data, and they are probably better than adding completely new ones. Entering the Find New Prospect tab displays a set of suggestions showing you these type of leads. Ranging from lost customers to companies you added but never contacted. A tip is to process these ones before moving on to adding new companies.
Clicking one of these suggestions displays a list of companies. Select the ones you want and proceed to the Assign & manage -tab to plan phone calls with them.
AI lead recommendations
With this add-on, your account is connected to the Upsales Sales AI which researches your sales history to recommend you top quality leads, every day.
Clicking one of these suggestions displays a list of companies. Select the ones you want and proceed to the Assign & manage -tab to plan phone calls with them.
Examples:
- New start-ups in your top industries
- Companies similar to your biggest customers
- Untapped companies in company groups where you have customers
- Companies hiring at a fast rate in your top industries
Board of directors
When adding companies with this add-on you will also receive any board members of those companies. Board members are then available inside the Contact tab on the companies page.

Creating your own custom searches
If you still want to create custom searches in the Upsales Prospecting database you can find the link at the bottom of the Find New Prospects start page. Click to enter the search page.
Besides the standard prospecting filters like country, industry, etc, a new range of prospecting filters are available like Change in employees (hiring rate), EBITDA, Revenue, and Profit margin to mention some.
Here's a brief explanation of how these filters work:
Corporate form
Each company is registered with a corporate form. Add one or multiple company forms to filter your search.
Industries
Much like corporate form each company belongs to one or multiple industries. A useful feature in this filter is the ability to only display industries of which contains companies you've sold to before. What Upsales then does is check all companies in your account that have at some point had a won order and then list the industries from those companies.
Select the industries you want to filter your search.
Location
Only interested in companies located in a specific city or street? Well, jackpot.
Tip: You can now add multiple series of zip codes.
Employees
Sometimes it's easier to look at the number of employees rather than the company revenue.
PRO: Find companies hiring at a fast rate with the Change in employees filter. Available in the Upsales Prospecting PRO add-on
Company financials
This is a highly efficient tool to find suitable leads. The Revenue filter is available in the BASIC version of Upsales prospecting.

Company name
Offcourse the most basic filter is available, simply enter company names to get matching results.
Year founded
Only want results for start-ups or perhaps companies founded in the golden '80s? Use this filter to narrow your results.
Working with the search result page
When clicking an AI recommendation or creating your own custom search you will end up on the search results page. Your results will be sorted by name by default but you are able to sort on most columns in the list.
Selecting companies
Click the "Select"-button in the far right corner of the list to add these companies to your list.
The companies you select are added to the Select tab
To enable our users to make multiple searches with different filters the companies you select are placed in the "Selected"-tab where you also have the option of removing them from your selected list.
Once you are done with selecting companies, move on to the Assign & manage-tab to distribute these to your team.
Assign & manage page
Usually, when adding new companies to Upsales you want to distribute these to your team and perhaps plan phone calls with them. This is done in the Assign & manage tab.
Plan a call with the companies
This action is by default active but if you don't want to plan any calls right now, simply toggle it to OFF.
Phone calls are a new way of managing to-do's much like the previous Activities in Upsales.

By default, phone calls don't have a due date, but you can manually add one if the calls are or urgent matter.
Assigning team members to the companies
Send notification to users
Toggling this option will notify the user by email that they have new planned calls with companies they are given.
Give to account manager
Companies that are already added in Upsales might already have an account manager. Toggling this option will simply plan the call with that user. With this option, the account manager of the company will be selected even if you haven't selected the same user in the list above.
Give to assigned user
Much like the above, but for planned activities or phone calls. If a user already has a planned activity with the company, this user will receive a new planned call.
Add company data
This feature enables you to add more data to the companies from your custom fields. Or, add the companies to campaigns or categories.
Adding the companies to Upsales
When done, click the button in the top right corner to start adding the companies to your account. If you are adding a lot of companies this might take a moment.
