The Leads list allows you to see the effects of your marketing efforts by assigning a score to companies and contacts based on their interactions with you. You can customize the score assigned for email actions on the Email Settings screen.
To change the marketing score for emails, complete the following steps:
- Assign the number of points you want to add to a company’s or contact’s score when they open one of your emails by entering the number in the Opened email field.
- Assign the number of points you want to add to a company’s or contact’s score when they click on a link in one of your emails by entering the number in the Clicked email field. Since clicking a link usually reflects a strong interest in the recipient, the Clicked email score is typically the highest of the email marketing scores.
- All email campaigns must contain an unsubscribe link to allow recipients to unsubscribe from future email campaigns. Since they no longer want to receive emails from you, you may want the marketing score to reflect this by subtracting points in the Unsubscribed field. The default is -5 points.
