Use tags to personalise one email to many recipients.
Instead of creating emails addressed to 10 people at 10 companies, create one email with tags that are replaced for each recipient. For example, "Hello {{Contact.FirstName}} at {{Client.Name}}" becomes "Hello Anna at Acme AB":
How to add a tag
In the email editor, click Insert tag. In the drag-and-drop editor, open the tag menu in the text toolbar. Pick a tag and it's added where your cursor is.
The list shows the tags available where you are in Upsales. It includes your own custom fields by name, and tags for features you have turned on, such as Easy Booking. All tags at the end of this article lists every tag.

Good to know
- Empty fields are left blank. If a contact has no first name, "Hello {{Contact.FirstName}}," is sent as "Hello ,". Check your data before sending.
- Misspelled tags are removed. Send a test email to yourself to check that every tag is filled in.
- Companies with several account managers get all of their names in the account manager tags, separated by commas.
- Tags work in the subject line as well as in the email text.
Tags in automatic emails
In emails sent automatically by an automation or a form, you can also put a tag in the To field. For example, {{Client.UserEmail}} sends the email to the account manager of the company that submitted the form.
Emails sent by a form's actions can also use form submission tags, which insert the values someone entered in the form.
