Import only company name and organisation number in the company import and Upsales will automatically dress the companies with current information from the Company Data Hub add-on. It will save you a lot of time and at the same time get current information about all companies.
This is done by checking:
- Company name (Identical company names)
- Organisation number
- ID number
We only update (Swedish companies) where we get an exact match on company name or ID number. If more than 1 are found (for example if the company has branches) Upsales will not update automatically.
When a unique match for company name, Organisation number or ID is found, all data from Company Data Hub is added.
Company information Upsales updates:
- Address (postal, visting/office, other)
- Board of directors (Company Data Hub)
- Financials (Company Data Hub)
- Registration date
To turn off this feature, click Settings > Account settings and scroll down to Company data and click the toggle:
How do Upsales match on company names?
If you enter "Upsales Nordic" as the company name, Upsales will not find a match because the company is called "Upsales Nordic AB"
If the company is located in several locations in Sweden, which company will Upsales update against?
"Upsales Nordic AB" is located in Stockholm & Linköping. When you update the "Upsales Nordic AB" customer card, no automatic update will take place because we find 2 companies with the same name or organisation number. (If the company does not already have an ID, then we update the information linked to that ID)
How do Upsales organisation numbers match?
Upsales removes spaces and "-" signs before Upsales matches in the Company Data Hub database. This means that organisation numbers "555555-5555" are the same as "5555555555".
Which data is master?
Data from Company Data Hub has priority. This means that what you entered in fields that Prospecting updates is overwritten with data from Company Data Hub.
I enter 5M in turnover but when I look in the customer card it says 15M. What's going on?
If you have not switched off automatic company update, the customer card is updated every time a company is saved. The update retrieves current data from Company Data Hub. This means that information you enter manually or via an import is overwritten with information from Company Data Hub.
The company has not received any information from Company Data Hub and I know there is only one company with that name/organisation number, what could be wrong?
In order not to affect you as a user, the update to Company Data Hub is done in the background and can therefore sometimes take longer to complete. If it has not been updated in 10 minutes, please contact Upsales support.
I have a lot of companies that I want to automatically update, can I do that?
Yes, follow the instructions in this article. In the header there is a button "Update all companies", it uses the same logic as mentioned in this article for updating companies.
