Q: What can I update in bulk in Upsales?

A: You can update certain information in bulk on companies, contacts, activities, orders and opportunities. You can update information in bulk on products through the import tool.

Update companies or contacts

To update companies or contacts go to the tab Companies & contacts and choose if you want to view companies or contacts. Skärmavbild 2024-12-05 kl. 09.41.39.png

Use the filters to the right to narrow down the results. For example, if you only want to update the companies where you are account manager and which are located in Sweden.

To update the result you can choose to either select companies one by one, selecting all or selecting all on chosen page. Skärmavbild 2024-12-05 kl. 09.44.47.png

When you have made a selection of companies a menu appears at the bottom of the page where you are given several options. To update information for the companies you've chosen, click Update companies. You can for example add all companies to a campaign, change account manager or add information to any custom fields that you have created.

Update orders or opportunities

The procedure to updating orders or opportunities in bulk is very similar to updating companies or contacts. For orders, go to the tab Orders, then narrow the results of what orders you want to update by using the filter option to the right. Say for example you want to update all orders that you have made today.

Select orders by using the check box to the left of the screen and then click Update orders on the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen. You can add orders to a campaign, change stage or add information to your custom fields.

The same procedure is applied for updating opportunities.

Updating activities

To update activities, go to the Tasks tab and choose if you want to view to-do's, phone calls or appointments.

You can either select all by clicking the check box to the left on the page or narrow the results if you want to update specific activities by clicking Advanced filtering to the right on the page. That will take you to advanced search where you can add several types of filters to make the results more specific, for example if you want to update all of user Joanna Meyer's meetings with the company Organisation.

Depending on if you have chosen to update to-do's, phone calls or appointments the choices given differ somewhat. For all tasks you can change user, add to campaign or delete, for example.
