Dashboards
A dashboard can contain one or more looks as it is a collection of multiple data sources. Users are not limited to creating looks from one particular Explore. Instead, Dashboards allow for looks to be combined into a shared space regardless of the Explore it derived from. This makes dashboards highly versatile and flexible in terms of cross-referencing data from more than one business area.

Tiles
A Tile is an alternative way to create a Look. The difference between creating a Tile and a Look is that a Look may be a separate entity and saved in the "Reports" tab whereas Tiles are always connected to a Dashboard. Looks are created form Explores in the "Explores" tab while Tiles are created from within a Dashboard. There are no other functional differences between Looks and Tiles in terms of downloading, sending, scheduling, filtering etc. When creating a Tile, the report will automatically (and only) be connected to the Dashboard from which the Tile started. Once the "New Tile" button is selected, the user is shown a menu from which one will select an Explore. From this stage, the process of building a Look/Report/Tile is the same as when starting from the Explores tab - this way, you simply don't have to save it to a Dashboard.
To access Tiles, hit the Edit button in the top right corner of your Dashboard upon which you will be presented with these options.
- Tiles are Looks that are always adjoined to one dashboard
- Tiles can be duplicated
- Tiles can be sent, scheduled, downloaded, and filtered
- Tiles cannot be moved to another dashboard
