This article explains every view in the ARR Insights dashboard. There are references to "churn", "expansion" and how this data is saved based on your Subscriptions in Upsales.
- Dashboard filters
You can select one or several account managers, or one or several roles. These filters apply to all dashboard views. If nothing is selected, all companies are taken into account. - Detailed view
Shows every ARR change in the current year, sorted per month. Values in column "ARR changes" can be clicked to reveal details such as account manager and date. - Monthly view
Displays net value of all ARR changes that month. For example, imagine in January you have one contraction (worth SEK10,000) and one expansion (worth SEK20,000). The view shows SEK10,000 as the net value for January. Values in the "ARR Changes" column can be drilled down, to show all monthly changes in more detail. - Monthly view: Visual
A visual representation of monthly data, showing what makes up the net value. Negative changes are shown below the X-axis as negative values. Positive changes are shown above the X-axis. Hover over or click the columns for more details. - Total ARR of filtered companies
Click the figure to see ARR per company. - Total number of filtered companies with a subscription
Click the figure to see the complete list. - Companies that started their first subscription this year
Click the figure to see the complete list. - Companies that churned this year
Click the figure to see the complete list. - Total ARR net change this year
Takes into account all ARR changes occurring during the year. Combines the data reported in #2 and #3 above. Click the figure to see a detailed list of all changes during the year. - Total net ARR change this year as a percentage value
Calculated by dividing total ARR net change by total ARR from 1 January this year. This is calculated by taking the current total ARR minus total ARR changes this year. Using the numbers in the example picture it would be calculated as follows:17 500 000 / (23 700 000 - 17 500 000)
- % of total ARR value lost since 1 January
Shows percentage of total ARR value from the 1st of January this year. This is calculated by taking the current total ARR minus the total ARR lost this year. Gathers all churns and contractions this year, and divides it by current total ARR minus the total ARR changes this year.
