A: Yes. When someone reaches your website through a Google Ads link that contains a GCLID, Upsales saves it on the visit. The visit's lead source then shows as Paid search with source Google in Marketing → Website visitors.
The GCLID itself isn't shown anywhere in Upsales, and it can't be added as a column or exported from the website visitors list or reports.
Good to know
- If the link also has the UTM tags utm_source or utm_campaign, Upsales uses the UTM tags for the lead source and doesn't save the GCLID.
- Visits from before March 2025 have no saved GCLID.
Want to see which ad or campaign led to the visit?
Add UTM tags to your Google Ads links. The campaign is then shown in the Lead source column under Marketing → Website visitors, and the UTM values can be added as columns under Marketing → Form submits. Read more in How to segment your lead source using UTM tags.
