Why create UTM codes
Adding a UTM code to a URL gives you insight into where and when it was clicked. For example:
- The first paragraph of a blog and in the final paragraph, to see which URL people click on
- Social media campaigns (eg Facebook, PPC) to see which channel generates the most conversions
- Buttons to see which Call-To-Action (eg 'Buy' vs 'Try') works best
- Any URL to track any metric you want
