An open opportunity can be moved to another company. Orders and lost opportunities can't be moved, but you can copy them to the new company.
Move an open opportunity
- Open the opportunity.
- In the left panel, click the Change company button next to the company name.
- Select the new company in the Company field.
- The contact is cleared when the company changes. Select a contact at the new company.
- Save the opportunity.
Move an order or a lost opportunity
- Create a copy of the existing order: open it and click Create copy at the bottom.
- Change the company in the copied order, select a contact at the new company and save.
- Delete the existing order.
Custom fields that you can't see or edit are left empty in the copy. Check the copy against the original before you delete the original.
