Imagine you have an order with a product priced 1,000 EUR.
You change the product price on the Products Settings page to 2,000 EUR.
The existing order has the previous price of 1,000 EUR.
Changes to the product price will only affect new opportunities and sales going forward.
When an existing sale gets the new price
An existing opportunity or order keeps its price until you edit it in one of these ways. Then the affected rows get the product's current price:
- You change the Currency of the order. All rows are re-priced.
- You change the Price list of the order, or change the company to one with a different price list. All rows are re-priced.
- You change the quantity of a product with tier prices. That row gets the current tier price, unless you have given it a discount.
- You click Reset price to product default on a row.
The same applies to a subscription: changing the currency or price list of a subscription period re-prices its rows.
