How to install Tele2

How to integrate Upsales and Tele2 and track your sales process from first call to won deal.

 

Installing Tele2: Administrators

To enable your team to use the integration between Tele2 and Upsales you first need to activate the app for your Upsales account.

  1. Click Settings → App directory:

  2. Click Tele2:

  3. Click Activate:

  4. Open your Tele2 software and click Settings.
  5. Your domain will be displayed after your username.
  6. Each user then has to activate and add their Tele2 login credentials themselves (explained below).

Installing Tele2: Users

To enable the integration between Tele2 and Upsales you need to activate the app.

  1. Click Settings → My Profile → Tele2:

  2. Click Activate.
  3. Add your Tele2 username and API key. 

Username

You need to get hold of your Tele2 user ID and add that to your settings. You find the user ID by opening your softphone and click settings. Add everything before "@youdomain" in Upsales.

API key 

You need to create an API key (Swedish: Biljett in Tele2) to enable the integration. To create an API key, start by opening your softphone and click tools and my page.

When your browser is open, and you are under "My page" in Tele2 go to Token (Swedish: Biljetter), create a new token and add rights to control phone calls (Swedish: Samtalsstyrning), press Create token (Swedish: Skapa biljett).

Click on the token you just created and add the token to Upsales.

Remember to save the app settings in Upsales, and you are ready to start using the app. (All users need to create their own unique token).

You need to have the same email registered in Upsales as you have in Tele2. Contact your Tele2 administrator to get help to change your email if it's not correct. You can see your email by opening your softphone and click tools and my profile.

Open Upsales when you get a phone call

If you want to be prepared in every phone call we can help you open Upsales when someone is calling you.

Upsales will search in your account by the incoming phone number and open the contact card if we get a match. If this is interesting follow these steps.

1. Open Tele2 softphone
2. Click Tele2 → Settings
3. Choose Advanced and then Configure external applications (press on External...)
4. Click "+"
5. Give the application a name, such as Upsales
6. Mark checkbox Autostart
7. Add https://power.upsales.com/#/who-called/$CALLINGNUMBER to field start-URI
8. Press OK in all three windows. 

Take full advantage of our integration with Tele2

Upsales TV

When your team has installed the integration you could add Upsales TV. It's a great way to motivate and visualise the team progress against your meeting goals. Combine how many dials each member has done today or this week with how many meetings they have booked and show this in real-time on a TV at your office.

Take full advantage of your phone data by using Upsales Insights to get a deep understanding of:

  • who you are calling
  • how many calls you need to get a booked meeting
  • who in the team has the highest or lowest success rate  

  

FAQ

Why do I need to click open Tele2 every time I press on a phone number in Upsales?

If you are using Mac and chrome, this is a Chrome issue. To remove this question, we have found a way around it but we do not support this and can't guarantee that this will work forever.

To remove the pop-up question open the app Terminal and past the line below in the window and press enter. Close your terminal and restart chrome (command + Q). 

 

Paste this line in your terminal

defaults write com.google.Chrome ExternalProtocolDialogShowAlwaysOpenCheckbox -bool true

When you open chrome again and press on a number in Upsales you will now have the option to always open callto-links with Tele2. Tick the box and the pop-up will disappear.

Why will my mac always open Zoom instead of Tele2 when I'm using chrome?

This is some Mac-related problem together with Chrome and Tele2. We have not found a good solution for this yet. The best you can do is to move the Zoom app to the trashcan when you have your calling time and then remove zoom from the trashcan when you are done. Another solution would be to start using Firefox instead of chrome on Mac.
