How to create subscriptions that change terms

You can change the terms of a subscription, either during the current term or when creating a new subscription.

Upsales Subscription is available in the latest version of Upsales Subscriptions. Contact support@upsales.com to get upgraded for free.
    1. Click Sales & CRM → Subscriptions:

    2. Either click on the existing subscription or create a subscription

    3. Click the Plan a future change button:

    4. This will give you the option to select when the change should take effect: within an ongoing subscription period or on renewal.

Planning a change within the current period

  1. Click Within the current period and click Choose the day for the change:

  2. Click the date of the planned change
  3. If making multiple changes, click Plan another change and select the dates. Otherwise click Plan the change:

  4. If the dates don't align with the existing order, for example no longer on the 31st of every month, Upsales will automatically show an explanation:

  5. Select the products or services to be included in each period
  6. The bar chart shows how the subscription progresses, including any changes to pricing or products:

  7. Save your changes, and your subscription is now set up with changes on certain dates. 

Plan a change in a subscription on renewal

  1. Click Sales & CRM → Subscriptions:

  2. Either click on the existing subscription or create a subscription

  3. Click the Plan a future change button:

  4. Click Plan renewal period and the Plan renewal period button:

  5.  A renewal period is added to the subscription that allows you to make adjustments to your subscriptions from renewal and forward.

  6. The start date automatically follows the previous period's end date
  7. Make any changes to the information and click Save
