Q: What is Upsales Subscription?
A: A tool that supports subscriptions including discounted pricing, different products, and payment intervals over time.
It automates the process of managing subscriptions, with and without changes. Making it easier for businesses to manage their subscriptions.
Q: Can I plan a change to a subscription?
A: Yes, you make changes to subscriptions with different products or services, and have different quantities, discounts or prices.
Q: Can I plan changes to a subscription on renewal?
A: Yes. Click Plan a future change and choose Plan renewal period to add a new renewal period, or Within the renewal period to plan a change inside a renewal period you have already added.
Q: Can I have different currencies in a subscription with planned changes?
A: Yes, for each new renewal period in a subscription. Not for planned changes within a current subscription period.
Q: Can I have different custom order fields in a subscription with planned changes?
A: Yes, for each new renewal period in a subscription. Not for planned changes within a current subscription period.
Q: Can I have different custom order row fields in a subscription with planned changes?
A: Yes, for any type of planned change in a subscription.
Q: Can I have different order intervals in a subscription with planned changes?
A: Yes, for each new renewal period in a subscription. Not for planned changes within a current subscription period.
Q: If I have a subscription with planned changes, can I create a combined order from it?
A: Yes, choose an order interval that matches the subscription length (for example, subscription length: 12 months; order interval: every twelve months). One order will be created that combines the products for each planned change.
Q: If I have a subscription with planned changes that don't follow the order interval, how will the orders be created?
A: The orders will be created with the products included within the order start and end dates.
Q: Can I change a subscription's start and end date?
A: There are some restrictions to be aware of when changing the start and end dates:
- The subscription start date has to be before the date of a planned change
- You can't change start or end dates if you have a renewal period with planned changes. First you need to remove the planned changes within the renewal period.
- Once orders have been created from the subscription, you can't change its start date or period length.
Q: I have a subscription with planned changes. How will it be renewed?
A: With the same scheduling settings and products from your latest change.
Q: Can I plan changes in a subscription that is until further notice?
A: Yes. Click Plan a future change and choose Plan renewal period. The subscription creates a renewal period on the day for your change. You can then set up a completely new and different subscription. Within the current period isn't available for a period that is until further notice.
Q: When can't I plan changes in a subscription?
A: If it has already ended, for dates that have passed, or within a period that is until further notice (use Plan renewal period instead).
