Sometimes a customer wants to downgrade their subscription during the subscription term. Or they want to downgrade a future subscription. You might need to add a credit note order if there's a downgrade. You can do both in Upsales, to benefit your customers and create a clear audit trail.

How to activate crediting

Admins click Settings → CRM → Subscription:
- Scroll down and turn on the toggle next to Enable crediting from subscriptions:

You can also increase subscriptions and prorated orders
- Open and edit the subscription
- Click Next step Credit order:
- Upsales automatically calculates the difference. Adjust the date of the change, and Upsales updates the amount:
- Decide whether to create a credit note order, and either click Create credit order or Don't create credit order:
- Click Save & show credit order:
- Upsales automatically updates the order and logs the dates in the Notes:
- The changes are automatically added to your ARR/MRR figures
Syncing credit note orders to your ERP integration
The created credit note order can automatically sync to your ERP integration, and managed as an invoice.
Fortnox and Visma.NET integrations support syncing downgraded orders.
