Keep everyone on your team up to date with real-time messages from Upsales directly in Microsoft Teams. Send notifications to your team on closed order, an opportunity or a booked appointment. You can also choose to trigger the notification based on a certain stage or appointment type. |
Setting up the app in Upsales
After you have activated the app, you will see the following settings.
Connect your Microsoft Teams account
The webhook URL from Microsoft Teams should be added here. Instruction on how to obtain the webhook is available at the end of this article.
Order notifications
You should enable this trigger if you want to receive notifications when an opportunity turns into an order or when an order is directly created in the order stage.
After enabling it, you will see a field where you can select the order stages in which the notification should be triggered. If you do not limit notifications to these selected order stages, you will receive a notification for all order stages.
Notification for an order is received when:
- Notify orders trigger is enabled
- Opportunity is converted to an order
- Orde is directly created in the order stage
- Has a value
- Has a client
- Has not been already notified
- Order close date is current day
Opportunity notifications
You should enable this trigger if you want to receive notifications when an opportunity is created.
After enabling it, you will see a field where you can select the opportunity stages in which the notification should be triggered. If you do not limit notifications to these selected stages, you will receive a notification for all stages.
If you have selected some specific opportunity stages, you will receive a notification only in those opportunity stages.
Notification for an opportunity will be received only when:
- Notify opportunities trigger is enabled
- It is created directly in a configured stage
- It has a value
- It has a client
- It's registration time is the same as the modification time
Appointments notifications
You should enable this trigger if you want to receive a notification when an appointment is created.
After enabling it, you will see a field where you can select the appointment types in which the notification should be triggered. If you do not limit notifications to these selected types, you will receive a notification for all appointment types.
If you have selected some specific appointment types, you will receive a notification only in those types.
Notification for an appointment will be received only when:
- Notify appointments trigger is enabled
- It has a client
- The date has not passed
- If limited appointment types selected, it should have the correct type
How to create a webhook in Microsoft teams
When you install the Microsoft team app you need to insert a webhook for the channel you want Upsales to send the updates to. Here is a short guide on how to create the webhook.
- Go to Microsoft teams
- Click on the channel you want to add the Upsales integration to
- Click on the three dots "..."
- Choose connectors in the dropdown
- Press configure on incoming webhook
- Add a name, example "Upsales bot"
- Press Create
- Copy the URL and go to Upsales and add it to the integration.
