You create an agent by asking for one in chat, or by hiring a ready-made one. There is no form to fill in.
This article covers:
- Creating an agent by asking
- Hiring a ready-made agent
- Adjusting it afterwards
- Removing an agent
Creating an agent by asking
Tell your assistant what you want the agent to do:
"Create an agent that writes a short debrief and suggests next steps whenever a deal is won."
It will propose a name and a role, ask anything it still needs, and set the agent up. This is the normal way to do it — the assistant already knows what an agent needs, so describing the job is enough.
Be specific about the job rather than the mechanics. "Watch agreements coming up for renewal in the next 90 days and flag the ones with no activity" is a better instruction than "make me a renewals agent".
Hiring a ready-made agent
Go to Agents and switch from Org chart to Hire agents. These come with a role and instructions already written. Hire one and adjust it rather than starting from nothing.
Adjusting it afterwards
Open Agents, click the agent, then Open agent page. The tabs are:
- Identity — its name and role. Click to regenerate gives it a new avatar.
- Mission — what it is for, in its own words.
- Context — files, links and notes it should draw on. See How to give an agent files, links and notes.
- Memory — what it has learned and remembered.
- Routines — the scheduled or triggered work assigned to it.
- Permissions — what it may do without asking, and its monthly credit budget.
- Chat — talk to this agent specifically rather than your assistant.
You can also just tell your assistant: "give the Renewals Watchdog a monthly budget of 200 credits" or "change the debrief agent's role to also cover lost deals".
Removing an agent
Open the agent page and click Archive in the top right. Archiving stops its routines; it does not delete the work it already did.
